This Ring Site is dedicated to a unique type of automobile, the roadster. Lately, many different cars have come to call themselves "roadsters" in an attempt to capture the free-spirited essense of this type of vehicle. Mostly, these late-comers have two seats and horsepower to spare, but if the top does not come off, the car is a sports-car, not a roadster (Webster's Dictionary will support this contention: click here for vindication).
There have been many types of Roadsters throughout the age of the automobile, from the early Ford two-seaters to the current wide variety that exists among automakers. A heritage embued with the lines of the once-ubiquitous MGs, the classic Thunderbirds and the ever-stylish '67 Corvette. A heritage strengthened by the Triumph, the Boxster, Austin-Healey, and Jaguar...Many have come to associate the Roadster with "British", and perhaps for good reason. But with the advent of a new Roadster craze in an age of SUVs, perhaps future generations will hear "roadster" and think "S2000", "TT", "Z3" and "Miata" as well as "British".
So, whether your Roadster is an old classic like a '53 'Vette, an old mainstay like a '69 MGB, or a hot-rod T-Bucket Roadster, put up a website dedicated to your pride and joy, and join the Roadster WebRing.
